5 Things I Stopped Doing That Changed My Body — and 5 Ways I Built Income Without a Following
5 Things I Stopped.
5 Ways I Started.
Everything Changed.
Everything I was told to do for my body made it worse. Everything I was told I needed to build income — I didn't actually need. Here's what worked instead.

5 things I stopped doing that changed my body
1. I stopped dieting
Calorie restriction raises cortisol. Elevated cortisol causes inflammation. Inflammation causes the exact belly bloat and weight retention that no diet ever touches at the root. I was literally making the problem worse with the tool I was using to fix it. When I stopped restricting and started supporting — everything changed.
2. I stopped intense workouts
5am workouts were adding stress to a nervous system that was already depleted. More cortisol. More inflammation. More of my body holding on instead of letting go. I replaced intense with consistent — 20 minute walks, daily movement that supported instead of punished. The results came when I stopped fighting.
3. I stopped cutting carbs
The food was never the problem. The gut was the problem. Cutting carbs just meant cutting things that weren't causing the issue while ignoring the cortisol driven inflammation that was. When I stopped eliminating food groups and started supporting my gut microbiome — the bloat that survived every elimination finally cleared.
4. I stopped starting over every Monday
The restart cycle was keeping me in a shame loop that raised cortisol every Sunday in anticipation of another failed attempt. I stopped making Monday the day. I made every day the day. 5 minutes. Consistent. No restart required because I never stopped.
5. I stopped hiding in photos
This one isn't a habit — it's a result. When I stopped doing the four things above and started addressing the root cause, my body responded. And when my body responded, I stopped managing my appearance and started living in it. I'm in the photos now. That's the whole point.
"I wasn't doing too little. I was doing the wrong things consistently. That's a completely different problem with a completely different solution."
5 ways I built income without a following
1. I learned the skill first
Digital marketing. Not a course on how to be an influencer — the actual skill of how to create content that builds trust, how to tell stories that convert, how to write words that make someone feel seen before you ever ask for anything. The skill is what builds the following. Not the other way around.
2. I posted before I was ready
Zero followers. Zero strategy except I was done watching. I posted before I felt confident. Before anyone was watching. Before anything was working. The confidence came from posting — not the other way around. Starting before you're ready is the only way to become ready.
3. I let automation do the follow-up
Auto-replies. Keyword triggers. Email sequences. The system handles the leads while I'm living my life. Someone comments INFO at 2am — they get the link automatically. I don't lift a finger. I built the system once and it works every day after.
4. I used my story not a script
No one can outcompete your specific story. Door to door sales. Cold calls. 11 weekends in a row. $3,000 in inventory. That story is mine. No one else has it. Content built from your own specific experience converts better than any script because it's the only content in the world that only you can create.
5. I kept going through the part where nothing had worked yet
Month 1 — nothing converted. I kept going. Month 2 — patterns became recognizable. I kept going. Month 3 — something converted. Then it compounded. The women who don't build are the ones who stop in month 1. The only difference between the woman building and the woman watching is that one kept going. That's it.
