THINGS TO DO TO STAY POSITIVE UNDER CORONAVIRUS QUARANTINE - FIRST EDITION
Hi loves! It’s been forever since I blogged. I was talking to my husband the other night and told him I had this idea to share with all of you some ideas to keep you sane during the COVID-19 Quarantine. We’re on week 3 of shelter in place.
I wanted to share nothing but positive vibes with all the updates and negativity on the news and social media. I hope that you find something in this post that will help bring you joy, a smile and keep you sane during these difficult times.
Xo, Rochelle

TIKTOK
I have to be honest. I was curious about TikTok. My daughter loves to dance and she’s learning new short dance moves and then post them. She’s been teaching me how to use it and finally got my own account. Although I don’t move like I used to it does help pass time and spend quality one on one with my sassy girl.
COOKING
I’ve been cooking everyday and baking. I definitely need to cut back on the sweets, lol. Here’s a few places I like to grab new recipe ideas.
SHOPPING ONLINE
I know a lot of us are concerned about going into stores and leaving the house to grab essentials. I haven’t really stepped foot into a grocery store in almost 3 weeks let alone Walmart or Target to grab household items. I’m still shipping beauty, skin care , hair care and body care essentials with FREE SHIPPING!
To go grocery shopping I’ve been utilizing INSTACART ! Valentina has Type 1 Diabetes and Asthma so we aren’t taking the shelter in place lightly. You can shop 1000’s of products you already use and get same-day delivery!!! I love it. The time I save and the stress of leaving the house I highly recommend!
PODCAST, MUSIC, APPS & MORE
While I’m cleaning up, folding laundry, working and just passing time I love to listen to a good podcast or youtube. When I feel anxious I grab my headphones and just listen.
Elevation Church Youtube or Podcast
Rise Podcast with Rachel Hollis
The Goal Digger Podcast with Jenna Kutcher
Zoom - stay connected with family virtually for FREE. (up to 100 people I believe for 40 min). We did a family zoom call for each of our families and it was so nice to see everyone’s face and interact virtually. Definitely recommend for your sanity.
FINANCES
Let’s chat real quick. I know everyone is probably afraid to spend money or maybe strapped for cash. I have a few things I would like to share with each of you. I used to be the one who never kept track of money coming in and money going out. I started doing the Dave Ramsey Financial University with my small group at church. It has definitely helped tremendously. I highly recommend downloading the EveryDollar App and creating a budget and keeping track! So much stress especially at the end of the month 😲
Most of my clients this month have been using the AFTERPAY method to stock up on their beauty needs from me. I accept 4 payments on orders of $35 or more. So if you purchased $100 worth of beauty & skin care for the next 30-60 days it would be $25 due today, $25 in 2 weeks, $25 in another 2 weeks and the last $25 in another 2 weeks. No Interest. It’s simple to use. Contact me to place your order.
Also if you check out AfterPay’s site you will find other businesses that accept this payment method as well. I just purchased my Riki Love Riki Mirror using this payment method!!!
I’ve touch basis with quite a few of you and some have told me that either they lost their job or their partner has or even both. My heart goes out to you. If you’re looking to make income today is the last day to start a beauty business for $27.50 (and then the normal cost is $55) for the yearly fee. I can help you work from home, no inventory, no huge start up cost and get to work. Let me know if this is something you would like to chat about more. CONTACT ME
TUTORIALS
I get asked a lot how to use products, how to do makeup from basic to glam, what my skin care routine is, and about choosing colors. I have a few different resources depending on what platform you like to use. So here are the links to them all.
BINGE WORTHY
The lastest that I binged watched while on quarantine was the Netflix Love is Blind! I watched YOU before the quarantine and loved it. There’s some shows I watch with the hubby that he loves like Narcos, Queen of the South and Ghost Adventurers. A new show I started watching is The World’s Most Extra Ordinary Homes I just love seeing how cool some of these homes are. I watched a bit of Tiger King but I’m not sure how I feel about it just yet.
On Demand shows I love is Good Girls. There’s a few seasons so if you haven’t watched it yet now would be a great time! Reality binges On Demand Very Cavallari, Kardashians, Any House Wives or drama related (don’t judge).
Drop below your favorite show.
SPRING CLEANING
This is what I excel in. Cleaning, lol. I typically will resort to this first. I’ve cleaned half of the garage out. Re-organized the laundry room. Cleaned out my closet. Cleaned out Valentina’s toys. She actually filled two garbage bags to donate. Crazy. I haven’t gotten her to donate that much ever. Next up is to organize the junk drawers I have just about in every room. Spring Cleaning is in full effect over here. What about you? Let me know below if you’ve started anything around your home.
Need inspiration check out this HOME DECOR , CLOSET SPACES , JEWELRY ORGANIZATION , AND HOME OFFICE IDEAS.
SELL YOUR STUFF
I haven’t added to this in awhile but I do have a closet on POSHMARK. You can sell your items online and create a closet. I’ve sold a lot of old clothes or things I sell on my boutique. You can see my closet here. Use the code LOVE_ROCEHELLE for $10 off
clean up digitally
Ok. This is probably where I need to spend most of my time. I have so many unused apps on my phone that are just taking up space. I also have about 40,000 pictures and videos on my phone. It’s insane. I did get a external cloud so I will spend some time organizing this. Emails too! I need to clean up my inbox. Another digital clean up I’d recommend is getting rid of any paid apps or subscriptions you no longer use. Check it out under your purchased apps there might be some renewing soon that you can catch before they charge you again. Especially those yearly ones.
SELF CARE
I have definitely been treating myself to more mask and taking my time at night to take care of my skin. Wearing less makeup means my skin has to be taken care of. I wake up every morning before I get the kids up to take care of my mind with a Youtube, Podcast or getting some unfinished things done before the madness. Try taking a bubble bath, enjoy a nice glass of wine fireside, or just getting dressed. Wow. What a difference not living in yoga pants and actually doing my hair, grooming and my makeup can do for my mood.
HOMESCHOOLING
Homeschooling is new for me as it probably is for you. One thing I’ve done that has helped is to have the kids all sit at the table with me so I can easily answer any questions. We all do it together and at the same time even my high schooler. I grabbed an organizing caddy to place any pencils, markers, crayons, blank paper, hole punchers, scissors, folders etc to keep it all nice and tidy. I found a few resources that are free if you would like to check it out. If you have anything you’d love to add please drop it in the comments.
More Learning Resources during Corona Virus
I thought this was super cool virtually going through museums from the couch
This is just the beginning of some ideas. I’ll do another edition to this as I think of things. So far the entire month of April is shelter in place and as I was updating this it’s been changed to May 3rd. Hope you are all well and staying healthy and most importantly staying home. Thinking of you all. If you need anything to order or need a friend to chat I’m here for you all. xo, Rochelle 💋
